The Guinness World Records™ have confirmed that the world record for “The Most People Tagged in an Online Photo” has been set by Glastonbury Festival’s 2010 communications partner, Orange.
The photograph was taken from The Pyramid Stage during half-time in the England vs Slovenia World Cup match on the Wednesday of the 2010 festival, captured on a 1300 megapixel super high-resolution photograph.
After the festival, people were then able to zoom into the picture, tag themselves and find friends.
7,053 people (and still rising) have tagged themselves, since the picture went live on the 29th June, and up to 7th September when the record was captured, through Facebook.
If you were at the event and have not yet tagged yourself you can still be a part of the world record by visiting http://www.orange.co.uk/glastonbury
