By | Rumours | No Comments

Taken from newsoftheworld.co.uk

Jedwood are wanting to top up their X Factor earnings and are set to make more than winner Joe

It is believed the cocky twins have even asked their management to approach the organisers of Glastonbury in the hope they can play there in June.

Successful festival appearances could net the twins up to £60,000 a go, including income from lucrative merchandising stalls.

Our source said: “Festivals are massive business and the twins can do well on on that circuit. No festival wants to miss out on getting the hottest acts.

“The boys been speaking to a lot of very keen organisers and hope to tie up some big deals in the next couple of months.

“Everyone wants a piece of them at the moment.”

Mr Hudson, Kanye West and Robert Plant/Led Zep for Glasto 2010?

By | Rumours | No Comments

As I can’t find the news anywhere else other than Twitter, I’m gonna post a couple of twitter feeds from BBC 6 Music (I believe that these quotes are being take at the Q awards today) that I think people may find interesting, the first if from Mr. Hudson.

Mr hudson says he’d love to play glastonbury 2010 – and unsurprisingly wants Kanye to headline. Are you listening eavis family?

The second one is something I think ALOT more people will be interested it……….ROBERT PLANT

Robert plant says he’s been talking to michael eavis about playing Glastonbury

This would be absolutely HUGE news, which I hope becomes a reality. We have no info on if it just Robert Plant or all of Led Zep, we’ll just have to wait and see what happens

[UPDATE] The following is taken from the BBC 6 Music News pages.

Led Zeppelin frontman Robert Plant has admitted he has spoken to festival organiser Michael Eavis about performing at Glastonbury next year.

Speaking to BBC 6 Music at the Q Awards he said: “I’ve just been talking to Michael [Eavis]. There’s place for me there, but I have no idea who with.”

Pulp - The Band

Pulp - The Band

In an interview with Katie Hind for people.co.uk, Jarvis Cocker has hinted that Pulp might reform for Glastonbury Festival 2010

The singer let slip they could be heading for the mud in June, saying: “Glastonbury means an awful lot to me, I would love to play there again. We’ve talked about it, there we go, there’ll be a band reunion.”

[UPDATE] According to Teletext’s Planet Sound, Jarvis has denied the above story
Pulp will definitely not be reforming, PS can reveal.

Newspapers have made the claim for the last two weeks.

But Jarvis Cocker told PS: “I can categorically tell Teletext that Pulp have no plans to get back together. Someone asked me if I fancied playing at the 40th anniversary of Glastonbury, I said yes, they twisted that into a ‘Pulp reform’ story. It’s not true.”[/UPDATE] [UPDATE 2] BBC 6 Music have spoken to Jarvis who says he didn’t say what has been attributed to him, however they won’t rule out a Glasto appearance. 6 Music news will have more details later.[/UPADTE 2]

The Rolling Stones

The Rolling Stones

News is coming in from various sources that The Rolling Stones are to headline Glastonbury Festival 2010.

On Monday, GlastoWatch.co.uk posted an article saying that The Rolling Stones were the bookies favourite (posted after the break) to headline the festival.

On Tuesday, NME reported the same info.

And now today, Contact Music are suggesting that Michael Eavis has booked them to play the festival.

THE ROLLING STONES are the hot favourites to rock out England’s Glastonbury music festival next year (10) and follow BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN and JAY-Z as the event’s recent headline acts.

Two years after frontman Sir Mick Jagger complained he’d never been invited to perform at the seminal event, sources claim organiser Michael Eavis has reached out to the legendary rockers and booked them up for 2010. Read More
